<br />RELATED CITY POLICIES <br />? <br /> <br />Sustainable Development <br />A community that meets its present environmental, economic, and social needs without <br />compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. <br /> <br />? <br /> <br />Effective, Accountable Municipal Government <br />A government that works openly, collaboratively, and fairly with the community to achieve <br />measurable and positive outcomes. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNCIL OPTIONS <br /> <br />The council has the option to either accept or reject the proposed sale to Michael Chen and Kitty Chen. <br />If the council concurs to the proposed sale and terms, it may consummate the transaction consistent with <br />Eugene Code 2.872 which states “a proposal acceptable to the City Manager shall be presented to <br />council for its action.” <br /> <br />If the council chooses to reject the proposed sale, it may elect to renegotiate modifications to the <br />proposed sale terms or choose to retain ownership of the present city owned remnant parcel. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The City Manager recommends that the council direct the City Manager to proceed with the sale of the <br />subject remnant parcel to the adjacent property owners, Michael Chen and Kitty Chen for the amount of <br />$20,796. <br /> <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION <br /> <br />Move to authorize the City Manager to consummate the sale of the City owned 987 square feet for <br />$20,796. <br /> <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS <br /> <br />A.
