<br /> <br />CITY OF EUGENE <br /> <br />May 20, 2008, Primary Election <br /> <br />Candidate Application Packet <br />Eugene City Council and Eugene Water & Electric Board <br /> <br />Applications are being accepted for the positions of Eugene City Councilor and Eugene Water & Electric <br />Board (EWES). These positions will be voted on in the May 20, 2008, Primary Election. Filing deadline is 5 <br />p.m., March 6, 2008. <br /> <br />The May Primary Election is a qualifying election. If a candidate wins more than 500/0 of the total vote for that <br />position, only that candidate's name will be placed on the November 4, 2008, General Election ballot If no <br />candidate receives more than 500/0 of the vote, the names of the two candidates receiving the most votes in <br />the May primary will be placed on the November ballot. <br /> <br />The Eugene City Recorder is the Elections Filing Officer for the City of Eugene and Eugene Water & Electric <br />Board elections.
