<br />poi nt where the Amazon Channe 1 crosses 11th Avenue West ,are character; zed by a <br />mix of commercial and industrial uses and are designated tlStrip or Street <br />Oriented Commercia!H on the Metropolitan Area General Plan Diagram. <br />Parcels with direct arterial frontage on th~ north side of 6th Avenue <br />West between Filmore and Garfield, on the south side of 6th Avenue West <br />bptween Filmo~e and McKinley, and on the north and south sides of 7th Avenue <br />West between FilmQre and McKinley are characterized by a mix of commercial and <br />industrial uses and are aes1gnated "Highway or Street Oriented Commercial" on <br />the f~etropolitan Area General Plan diagram. <br />The Planning Commission held a pub'lie hearing Oh the eligibility of the <br />the specific areas described in this resolution for C-4 District zoning on <br />Navember7, H't84, a.nd fon'iarded a positive rec'ommendation to the City Council <br />for considerat'lon and possible adoption. <br />The City Councrl held a public hearing to consider the Planning <br />Commission's recommendation on November 19, 1984, and at that hearing, the <br />City Counc11 a.greed \~ith the Planning Commission and moved to designate <br />certain specific areas as eligible for C-4 Commercial-Industrial District <br />z.aning consistent with the Metropolitan Area General Plan and intent of the C- <br />4 District. <br />Now, thel"efore, based upon the a.hove f1 ndii 095, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EUGENE, a r~unicipal <br />c.orporation of the Sta.te of Oregon, as follows: <br />Section 1.
