The community is invited to learn about the proposals at a public
information session on Tuesday June 17, from 4:30 – 6:30 at the Library. The five applicants are invited
to attend and informally share their ideas and respond to questions from the community. The public is
invited to provide written comments.

On Thursday, June 19, the Eugene Redevelopment Advisory Committee (ERAC), together with the West
Broadway Advisory Committee (WBAC), will review the proposals and make a recommendation. This
meeting will take place at the Library from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. and is open to the public. They started last fall by
studying the water cycle, ground water,
and the importance of clean fresh water.
They then proceeded to the
SalmonWatch program, which is
sponsored by Oregon Trout; this
curriculum concluded with a field trip to
local rivers and creeks so students could
see firsthand the salmon spawning,
sparring, digging redds (nests), laying
eggs, and dying to further the species.

EUGENE CITY COUNCIL NEWSLETTER PAGE 1
June 12, 2008
