<br />1~3. <br />ORDINANCE N0. 868. <br />An Ordinance regulating the use of motor vehicle horns. <br />WHEREAS, in the City of Eugene there has grown up an abuse in that operators of <br />motor vehicles make use oP their horns to signify approval and disapproval, and for various <br />purposes not contemplated in the laws of the state, creating noises and disturbances and <br />endangering congested traffic, <br />Therefore <br />THE CITY OF EUGENE DOES ORDAIN AS FOLIAWS: <br />Section 1. It shall be unlawful in the city of Eugene for the operator of any <br />motor vehicle to sound his horn for purposes or upon occasions other than those provided <br />by the state la~-. . <br />Section 2. It shall be unlawful for the operator of motor vehicles to play upon <br />or sound musical horns or exhausts or other devices except upon occasion and for purposes <br />provided in the state traffic law. <br />Section 3. Any person violating the terms of this ordinance shall b® subject, <br />after conviction before the City Recorder, or upon a plea of guilty, to pay a fine of not <br />less they X2.00 nor more than X10.00, and shall pay the costs of the prosecution. <br />Section 1.~.
