least two conspicuous places in such proposed vacation of such area. <br />The posting and the first day of publication of such notice shall not be <br />less than twenty-eight days before the time set for hearing. <br />Section 5. ~~hereas trie State Highway Commission together with the City <br />of Eugene and the Public Utilities Commission have combined for the purpose <br />of reconstructing the entire Judkin's Point area at the Eastern City Limits <br />of the City of Eugene eliminating all of the railroad crossings, and, <br />whereas it is necessary for tree safety of the traveling public of the <br />City of Eugene that these changes shall be made and the crossings eliminated and <br />4~hereas, the work is nearly completed and the streets are about to be <br />closed, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and it is necessary for the <br />immediate preservation of the peace, health and safety of the City of Eugene <br />that this ordinance take effect immediately upon its passage by the Common <br />Council and its approval by the Mayor, and it is so ordered. <br />Passed by the Common Council <br />this 26th day of October, 1942. <br />/s/ John Fields <br />City Recorder Pro em <br />Approved by the Mayor this <br />28th day of October, 1942. <br />/s/ Elisha Lame <br />Mayor <br />2(~1 <br /> <br />
