Councilor Ortiz thanked both groups for being so active in the community. She felt it had been a good <br />exercise in public process. She related that a local news reporter commented that the same 20 people show <br />up to make decisions about the community. She was glad to see more people providing input. She <br />applauded both groups. <br /> <br />Councilor Bettman echoed the comments concerning the LEAD youth. She congratulated them on their <br />success, noting that “now the work really begins.” She was also glad to see the representatives of the <br />Friends of Golden Gardens Park. <br /> <br /> <br />2. She pulled Item <br />C. Mayor Piercy noted the corrections and deemed them, without objection, approved. <br /> <br />Councilor Taylor pulled Item B. <br /> <br />Councilor Poling pulled Item F. <br /> <br />Councilor Kelly said he had previously submitted minutes corrections. Mayor Piercy deemed the <br />corrections to the minutes, without objection, approved. <br /> <br />Roll call vote; the motion to approve the Consent Calendar with the exception of Items B, <br />C, and F, passed unanimously, 8:0. <br /> <br />Regarding Item B, Councilor Taylor pointed out that a work session on standards for infill had yet to be <br />scheduled. Councilor Kelly said he expected that item to come before the council when it discussed <br />opportunity siting and infill standards with the Planning Commission.
