<br />RESOLUTION NO. 4668 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING APPLICATION FOR STATE OF <br />OREGON PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT LOCAL <br />GOVERNMENT GRANT MATCHING FUNDS FOR PARKS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is accepting applications for the <br />Local Government; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Eugene Parks Planning Section of Public Works Maintenance Division <br />desires to participate in the grant program to the greatest extent possible as a means of providing <br />needed park and recreation acquisitions, improvements and enhancements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Parks Planning staff has identified a boat launch facility and accessible trail <br />improvements in West Alton Baker Park to be a high priority project with available matching <br />funds from the Parks and Open Space Bond Measure to qualify for a State Grant request; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, matching funds would allow the final design to proceed and construction of the <br />boat ramp facility and accessible trail improvements to take place in 2002; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Parks Planning certifies that the matching share for this application is readily <br />available at this time; <br /> <br />IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that the City of Eugene Parks Planning Section be authorized to <br />apply for Local Government Grant from the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department park <br />improvements at Alton Baker Park as specified above. <br /> <br />The foregoing Resolution adopted this 9th day of April, 2001. <br /> <br />~~.ffL 2:Z/ <br /> <br />City Recorder <br />
