<br />RESOLUTION NO. --YY11 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4472 <br />APPROVING A MULTIPLE-UNIT RENTAL HOUSING <br />PROPERlY TAX EXEMPTION FOR PROPERlY LOCATED <br />AT 701 AND 725 EAST 14TH AVENUE AND 1357 AND 1377 <br />HILYARD STREET (CARMICHAEL). <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Eugene finds that: <br /> <br />A. On December 4, 1995, based on the Report and Recommendation of the <br />Director of the Planning & Development Department, the City Council adopted Resolution <br />No. 4472 approving the application of Arthur C. Carmichael, Jr. for a property tax <br />exemption under the City's Multiple Unit Rental Housing Property Tax Exemption program <br />for the improvements to be constructed upon the property located at 701 and 725 East 14th <br />Avenue and 1357 and 1377 Hilyard Street, Eugene, Oregon, and more particularly described <br />on Exhibit "A" attached thereto. <br /> <br />B. As one of the conditions of approval, the Resolution provided that the project <br />contain public benefits that included, but was not limited to six units to be completely "wheel <br />chair accessible," with all units adaptable to ADA standards. The Director of the Planning <br />& Development Department has issued a Revised Report and Recommendation indicating <br />that this condition should have stated that the project will include three units on the main <br />floor that will the ADA accessible immediately upon completion of the project, and an <br />additional three units on the main floor that will be adaptable to ADA accessible standards. <br /> <br />C. The Planning & Development Department Director, as designee of the City <br />Manager, has therefore recommended that the Council amend Subsection 3 of Section 1 of <br />Resolution No. 4472 to accurately reflect the number of units that will be ADA accessible <br />or adaptable. <br /> <br />NO~ THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CIlY COUNCIL OF THE CIlY OF EUGENE, a <br />Municipal Corporation of the State of Oregon, as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Based upon the revised recommendation of the Director of Planning and <br />Development and the above findings, Subsection 3 of Section 1 of Resolution No. 4472 <br />adopted by the City Council on December 4, 1995 is amended to provide: <br /> <br />3.
