<br />EXHIBIT A <br /> <br />AMENDMENTS TO JUNE 1993 <br />DESIGN STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES FOR TRANSIT FACILITIES <br />AS ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 4391 <br /> <br />Add a new section, Local Streets (DESIGN STANDARD) to read as follows: <br /> <br />Local Streets (DESIGN STANDARD) <br /> <br />Local streets identified as future transit routes using large buses are to be built to accommodate <br />transit vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight of 40,000 lbs. (front-axle: 15,000 lbs.; rear-axle: <br />25,000 lbs.; wheelbase: 23'3"). Estimates of expected transit trips per day will be provided by <br />L TD on a case-by-case basis. These streets should be built with a minimum curb radii of twenty- <br />five feet (25') at the inside curbs where buses will be making right-hand turns. <br /> <br />Local streets identified as future transit routes using small buses are to be built to accommodate <br />transit vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight of 34,000 lbs. (wheelbase: 11 '6"). Estimates of <br />expected transit trips per day will be provided by L TD on a case-by-case basis. These streets <br />should be built with minimum curb radii of twenty feet (20') at the inside curbs where buses will <br />be making right-hand turns. <br />
