<br />-'~ <br /> <br />On motion the following resolution was unanimously adopted:- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />..~& <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Common.Councll of the City of Eugene, that, WHEREAS, <br />The City of Eugene has heretofore ac~uired title to the following described <br />propert, to wit:- <br /> <br />Lots Four (4) and Five (5) in Block 1, in Cherry <br />Grove Addition to Eugene, Lane County, State of <br />Oregon; also Lot Number Six of Block Number 1, of <br />Cherry Grove Addition to ~gene, Lane County, <br />Oregon; <br /> <br />the City l~ving ac~uired title from Lane County, and the said Sane ~ounty having <br />ac~uired title by virtue of a tax foreclosure; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The State of Oregon represented and actingby the World War Veterans' <br />State Aid Commission has a mortgage upon the above described premises .and is <br />desirous of taking title to the said premises and is now foreclosing their said <br />mortgage against t he said premise s as a gainst the former owners; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, rrhe Ci ty of l1'u.gene ac~uired ti tle to the said property merely for <br />the purpose of p.rotecting its lien for improvements made upon and adjacent to the <br />said premises; and, VffiEREAS, The said State of Oregon.represented and acting as <br />aforesaid has offered to pay all delin~uent installments of City liens against <br />the said premises and to pay the City the amount paid the County for title to <br />the said prem.ises, and in addition to pay the City such pnrtion of the delin~uent <br />taxes as would normally have been paid to the City; <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that upon payment of all delin~uent taxes <br />against the said premises by the State in accordance with the statement to be <br />furnished by the City Recorder of ~gene, and upon' the further payWent of all <br />delinq,uent installments of City liens agains said premises, that the City of <br />Eugene deed to the State of Oregon representing and acting by the said <br />Commission, the prope.rty above descl'ili1ed; and BE n: FURTHER RESOLVED that the <br />Mayor of Eugene and the City Recorder be authorized and they are hereby <br />authorized to execute and deliver to the State of Oregon represented and acting. <br />as aforesaid, a good and sufficient deed to the above described premises upon <br />compliance wi th the terms in the resolu tion set out. <br /> <br />On. motion, the following resolution was -Qllanirnously adopted!- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />Be it Hesolved.b:;-: the Common Council of the City of Eugene, that','NHEREAS, <br />in the opening of 9th Avenue from VanBuren Street to Almaden Street in 'said <br />Gi ty the property of Amelia Aya was assessed a benefi t of ~p200.00 which <br />assessment vvas entered in the Record of City Liens as against said property-'~nd <br />later Taylor Street from 6th to lOth in said City was opened and this same propert1 <br />was assessed benefits in the amount of $1100 together with appropriate damages for <br />land taken in the opening of said Street, and it being the understanding between <br />said Amelia Aya and the 130ard of. \Jievrers a t the time of opening Taylor Street that <br />the lien entered in the opening of 9th Aven-g.e should b.e cancelled as part of' <br />considera tion in the opening of rraylor Street, <br /> <br />BE IT THEREFORE, RESOLVED, <br /> <br />That the property of Amelia Aya adjacent to 9th Avenue between Van 13uren <br />Street and Al1naden Street and assessed for the opening of said 9th Avenue under <br />Ordinance Number 5107 in the amount of ~200.00 should be cancelled of record and <br />the City Treasurer of said City is hereby ordered and directed to cancel of <br />such record as against said property the lien so entered against the property of <br />Arne lia Aya. , <br /> <br />1-- <br /> <br />On motion, the following resolution was unanimously adopted:- <br /> <br />RESOLUT ION <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council I6f the City of Eugene, that, WHEREAS., <br />in the settlement Vii th Raymond L. Perdew for the paving of' lOth Avenue from <br />Monroe Street to Almaden St~eet in the City of Eugene, and the permission gillven <br />by him for the City to open Tenth Street, an error has arisen of ~12.66 <br />wi th reference to the transfer of a certain assessment which f'ormerly was the <br />East 50 feet of lots 6 and 7 of Huddleston's Addition to Eugene, Raymond L.
