On roll <br />call, such recommendation was adopted. <br /> <br />The Sewer Committee recommended a storm sewer be constructed and in <br />support thereof offered the following resolution vvhich wa:3 unanimously adopted: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by <br />of Eugene construct a <br />Amazon to 20th Avenue, <br />Jefferson Street, and <br />to 22nd Avenue. <br /> <br />the Common Council of the City of ;B;ugene that the City <br />storm sewer on the East side of Washington Street from the <br />on the North si.de of 20th Avenue from Washington to <br />on the West side of Jefferson Street from 20th Avenue <br /> <br />Be it further Resolved that the City Engineer immediately prepare plans and <br />specifications for such improvement wOl~k and the City Recorder advertise <br />competitive bids for such improvement work. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Be it further Resolved that the said work be done by the City and that the <br />same be paid for from the sewer fund. <br /> <br />The Sewer Cornmi ttee recommended 1;he Sicamore Avenue sewer froru Jefferson <br />Street to Polk Street be re-constructecl and offered the following resolution <br />which was unanimously adopted: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Couneil of the City of Eugene, that the City <br />of Eugene reconstruct the sewer on Sycamore Avenue from Jefferson Street to <br />Polk Street. <br /> <br />Be it further Resolved that the City Engineer immediately prepare plans <br />and specifications fOr such improvement worl\: and the City Recorder advertise <br />competitive bids for such improvement work. <br /> <br />Be it further Resolved that the said work be done by the City and that the <br />same be paid for from the sewer fund. <br /> <br />The Sewer Committee also stated some new sewer equipment is needed. No <br />action was taken. <br /> <br />The Police Committee brought up the question of purchasing a new patrol <br />wagon and trading in the Police car as part purchase price therefor and several <br />estimates were received. It was finally voted by roll ca.ll, that $600.00 be <br />spent from the 1927 Budget toward the purchase of such vehicle and the matter of <br />kind, type, etc. left in the hands of the Police Committee. <br /> <br />The Police Commi ttee further recoffiInended the purcha~:e of a finger-print <br />outfit for $103.50, the amount to be taken from the 1927 Budget. On roll call, <br />such recommendation was adopted. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />On motion, it was voted by roll-call there be expencled from the 1927 <br />Budget $470.45 for Street buttons and markers for traffic remllations and the <br />.~ 0 <br />further sum of :jp250.00 for Street equipment. <br />
