On motion, such report was adopted. <br /> <br />The Street Co@nittee reported on the matter of the purchase of Street Signs, <br />stating 1805 signs are re~uired and a~ter explaining the different kinds to be had, <br />recommended we purchase the flange aluminum type at 53~ each. On motion, such <br />recommenda tion was ap:proved. <br /> <br />The Street Committee stated it was not ready to report on the widening of <br />Willamette Street nor on the matter of gas pumps now installed. in the parkings. <br /> <br />The Street Committee recommended the petition of She Terminal Auto Co. to <br />install a gas pump in the parking at 521 Willa~tte ~treet be denied~ On motion, <br />such recommendation was adopted. <br /> <br />The Street Committee reported on the c~aiw of the City against Hargreaves and <br />Lindsay for alleged damages to the alley at the rear of the McMorran and Washburne <br />store in the sum of $106.40 and recommended the city stand one half of such damages, <br />Hargreaves and Lindsay to pay the balance. On motion, such report was adopted. <br /> <br />The Street Committee reported the Engineer has filed an estimate at $22,471.00 <br />as the amount re~uired. to pave the streets on which the_old street car system <br />operated, said paving to be in addition to that of the ~outhern Pacific Railway Co. <br />The matter was referred back to the City Engineer for a report as to just what <br />work is to be done for such money. <br /> <br />The Mayor reported there are complaints as to the uncleanliness o~ the Rest <br />Cottage. The Health Committee stated Judge Barnard of the County Court has agreed <br />to see the condition is bettered.. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Health Committe~ re~uested the Chief of Police to inspect a place on or <br />near Blair Boulevard where cows are kept and report at the next meeting. The Chief <br />was so ordered. <br /> <br />The Police Committee reported it has purchased. a Star two door sedan for 1~s <br />Ady and that the roadster has been turned over to the Police Department. <br /> <br />~ <br />
