Mr. Strathouse was also the e and <br /> presented his case to the Gouncil, and after some discussion Mr. Rundlett, the <br />, BUildi.r;ig Inspector, was instruc ted to take the ma tter up wi th the Board of Appealf3 <br /> and report back at the next Co~cil meeting. <br /> Mr. Reid, Chairman of the Sewer Committee, reported regarding the East Ninth <br /> Street sewer and suggested enlarging of the same, but,no action was taken in the <br /> matter. <br /> Mr. Reid also ~oke in r~gard to the refund on paying outs and suggested that <br /> they should be made to the propert,y- owners instead of the plumbers, but no action <br /> was taken on this matter. <br />II <br />" Lawrence Jensen asked permission of the Gouncil to lower the sidewalk about <br /> 2 inches at the entrance on 11th and Oak Street. Motion was made, seconded, and <br /> carried that the City maintain the present grade as nON established. <br /> . <br /> After some discussion regarding the ali' port the following resolution was <br /> adopted instructing the engineer to call :ror bids for lighting and i!nproving the I <br /> grounds~ <br /> . RESOLUTION <br />" BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the Ci ty of Eugene that the Oi ty <br />!I <br /> Engineer be and is'hereby instructed to advertise for bids for the lighting and <br /> improving of the Municipal Airport in accordance with the plans therefor, prepared . <br />I: by said City Engineer, and that bids will be received until August 11th, 1930, at <br />I 7:30 o'clock P.
