<br />Minutes of" the regular monthly session of the Common Council, held at
<br />7:30 o'clock P. M., June 8, 1931. Gouncil was called to order by Mr. Large,
<br />President of the Council, in the absence of the ~~yor,-with all Councilmen present
<br />except Hendershott and Bond.
<br />
<br />Minutes of the regular meeting of May 11th, .,1931, and of the adjourned
<br />meeting of W~y 25th, 1931, were read and approved.
<br />
<br />The bid of' the Eugene Sand & Gravel Company for the improvement cf the
<br />alley between Patterson and Hilyard Streets and East Broadway" and the Mill Race
<br />for the sum of $696.00, exceeding the Engineer's estimate by ~128.00, was laid
<br />over for further consideration.

<br />Counc ilman Edwards, member of the Park Board', sta ted that they had obtain-
<br />ed prices for hay and recommended that the City purchase from Garl Kirk of
<br />Junction City, Route #2, ten tons of alfalfa hay at $12.00 per ton. On motion
<br />seconded and carried the recommendation was adopted~
<br />
<br />~t this time Councilman Bond appeared in Council.
<br />
<br />Councilman Zumwalt of the Finance Committee reported that the committee
<br />had examined the following bills and recommended them for paymen t. The ayes
<br />and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye, six, nay, none, absent Hendershott;
<br />Large not voting.
