';-'~ <br /> <br />.~ <br />.~ <br />,;~ <br />'~ <br /> <br />Elisha Large, <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />.' <br /> <br />Chwnber Councils, Eugene, Oregon, <br />Maroh 3rd, 1932. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Counoil was called to order in specialt sessi on by 11ayor Large pursuant <br />to the fo~going notice, with all Councilmen PFes~nt ex~ept Bond. <br /> <br />Mr. Charle s Schaefe rs, represent ing Schaefer ,rs Bro s., appeared before <br />the Council with a ~quest that they permit an: oper~ting ,of the bowling alley <br />on the second floor of the building on the Southeast cornel' of 10th and <br />Wfllamette Streets. Assurance was made to the~ Council that the alley would not <br />b~ operated before noon on Sundays. <br /> <br />An Ordinance permitting the operation pf golf cpUl'ses, tennis courts, <br />and bowling alleys, and the Playing of golf, tennis, and bowling, in the City <br />or Eugene on Sunday was read the first time, and passed its second and third <br />readings by' ti tIe by unanimous consent under suspensi on of the rule, and was <br />plaoed on its final passage. The ayes and nays were called, all present voting <br />aye, nay, none,'absent Bond. The Ordinance wa~ declared passed and numbered <br />8286.
