Wynd 600.49 <br /> <br />On motion of Councilman Hendershott, duly seconded and carried, the Council <br />apporved the applications. <br /> <br />The Recorder called too the attention of the Council the relluests of the <br />holders of Contractor's Improvement Wal"rants of the City for permission to apply <br />these warrants in pa~nent of property assessments, and this matter was referred to <br />'I the City Attorney and Judiciary Committee for report. <br /> <br />A Communication relating to the authorization of the Fire Department, by <br />" Ordinance, to give fire protection beyond the city limits was laid over on retluest <br />of Councilman Bond. <br /> <br />A Resolution authorizing and confirming the act of the IIIayor and Recorder <br />in executinG a deed on behalf of the Eugene Water Boal"d to ( ) Barne'S and <br />( , Barnes grantees for a two and one-half acre tract in Section 2, Township <br />17 South Range I East, was presented and motion was made seconded and carried to <br />adopt the resolution. <br /> <br />\ <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />Whereas, heretofore the City of Eufene, acting by and through the Eugene <br /> <br />Water Board, aCtluired the following described property, to-wit: <br /> <br />.; That part of the \~fest half of the Southeast Quarter of <br />Section 2, Township 17 South Range 1 East, Willamette Ueridian, <br />commonly known as the Aya place, lying South of the new f\IcKenzie <br />Highway a.'ld West of the old McKenzie HiGhway, being more particul- <br />arly described as follows: <br />Beginning at a point at the intersection of the South <br />rine of Section 2, Township 17 South Range 1 East, Willamette <br />Mel~idian, vvith the Southerly right of way line of the new lIcKenzie <br />Highway, said point being 612.4 feet N01"th 88 degrees 50 feet East <br />from the Quarter section corner on the South line of said Section <br />2, and running thence Easterly along the South line of said Section <br />2, North 88 degrees 50 feet East 702.3 feet to an iron rail at the <br />Southeast corner of the ';Iest half of the Southeast Cluarter of said <br />Section 2, thence North along the East line of said ~est half of <br />.
