M., for the purpose of discussing the contemplated <br />change in the route of the Pacific Highway tnrough Eugene, and the <br />completion of the unfinished project of resurfacing the highway on <br />Broadway from Willamette to High Street and Sixth Avenue West from <br />Willamette to Blair Boulevard. <br /> <br />Dated at Eugene, Oregon February 6, 1935. <br /> <br />Elisha Large, <br /> <br />Mayor. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />--0-- <br /> <br />Council Chambers, Eugene, Oregon <br />February 6, 1935. <br /> <br />Pursuant to the notice of Special Council meeting, the Council was <br />called to order in special session by .Mayor Large, at 5:00 o'clock P. M., <br />Wednesday, Februa~ 6, 1935, with all Councilmen present except Dr. Simon <br />and Dr. Harris. <br /> <br />A representative of the Foster Kleiser Advertising Company asked <br />the Council for permission to construct a lighted sign at 13th and Willamette <br />Street. On motion duly seconded and carried permission was granted. <br /> <br />At this time Councilman Harris appeared in Council. <br /> <br />Discussion was opened by Mayor Large concerning the completion <br />of the resurfacing of the highway through Eugene by the State Highway <br />Department with funds allocated by the Federal Government to the extend of <br />$14,000.00. The following Resolutions were read and adopted: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />"Resolved that the gtate Highway Department <br />proceed withbut further delay with the unfinished <br />project of resurfacing the highway from High Street <br />to Willamette Street, and from Willamette Street <br />to Blair Boulevard, with the $14,000.00 already <br /> <br />granted. It <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />"Resolved the Highway COlllinission make no <br /> <br />change in the present route through the City of <br /> <br />E'uge De.
