Sayles 88.51 <br /> Reports from the Chief of Police, Chairman of the Health Committee, and City <br /> Attorney on the condemnation of the building at 245 Madison Street, were read and <br /> the following Resolution was read and motion made, seconded and carried to adopt <br /> same. <br /> - RESOLUTION <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to the Common Council of the City of Eugene, <br /> reports from the City Attorney, the Chief of Police and the Chairman of the Health <br /> Committee, each and all of them denouncing the building on that certain premises <br /> designated as 245 Madison Street, in Mayhew's Addition to Eugene, Oregon, as a . <br /> I dangerous building as defined in Ordinance No. 8292, and recommending to the <br /> I <br /> Common Council that said building be dismantled, and <br /> I WHEREAS, complai.nts have been made regarding said building, 'by a large number <br /> or residents living around and in t he neighborhood, claiming th~t the premises are <br /> frequented by disreputable characters, and is a breeding place for disease, thus <br /> endangering the health of the neighborhood <br /> THEREFORE, - <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL of the City of Eugene that a public I <br /> - <br /> I hearing is hereby called to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in <br /> II <br /> the City of Eugene at 7:30 o'clock P.M. on Monday, October 14, 1935, at which <br /> time and place all persons interested will be heard upon the question as to <br /> whether or not the said building located at 245 Madison Street, Eugene, Oregon, is <br /> dangerous under the provisions of Ordinance No. 8292, and as a part of said hearing . <br /> I <br /> ~j, <br />
