<br />~ <br />446 <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />The following bids were received for the furnishing of present ownerships for <br />the foreclosure program: Title Abstract Qompany, Lane County Abstract Company, <br />and Eugene Abstract & Title Company, all $~.OO for each lot or tract. These bids <br />were referred to the Judiciary Committee to report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~~ <br />~ <br />g; <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />The Recorder presented the canvass of election returns of the Specaal Elect- <br />ion of January 31, 1936, and the same was ordered filed. <br /> <br />A bill in the amount of $18.50, covering damages clairmed as a result of an <br />accident with one of the city trucks, was presented by C; M. Brya~;Ricofde~t, and <br />the City Attorney stated that this claim had already been denied. <br /> <br />Councilman Harris moved that the bid of the Lane County Abstract Company be <br />accepted. Councilmen Hendershott and Carlson wanted to know why that should be <br />accepted when they were all the same. Councilman Harris pointed out that he <br />thought they were the only firm capable of furnishing the information. Council- <br />man Hendershott pointed out that the others were just as elegible as Mr. Bell. <br />Councilman Reid seconded the motion that this be granted to the Lane County <br />Abstract Company, and the ayes and nays were called, Councilmen voting aye, Reid, <br />Simon, and Harris. Nay, Lamb', Hendershott, Bond and Carlson. Absent Zumwalt. <br />The motion lost, and therefore held until the next mee~ing. <br /> <br />On motion the Council adjourned. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />C. M.
