L. Chambers owning and occupy- <br /> . ing a lot which is to be also appropriated for the erection of <br /> 0 I said structure, and <br /> I WHEREAS, it is necessary that a vacation be had of that portion <br /> of the alley to be utilized for said post office building~ <br /> Therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED By the Common Council of the City of Eugene, that <br /> a hearing ,is hereby called to be held in the Council Chambers <br /> in the City Hall in the City of Eugene on the 24th day of August, <br /> 1~36~ at 7:30 o'clock P. M.. at which time there will be presented <br /> I for passage an ordinance vacating the alley running East and West <br /> I through Block 3 of Skinnerfs Donation in Eugene, Lane County, <br /> I <br /> Oregon, insofar as the same abuts upon and lies between Lots 4 and <br /> 5 of said Block 3. <br /> And the City Recorder be and he is hereby directed to publish a <br /> notice in the Eugene Register-Guard, which is hereby designated <br /> as the city official newspaper for such purpose, once each week <br /> for four successive weeks, and to post three of such notices in <br /> the most public places in said city. <br /> . Such notice shall describe the alley sought to be vacated giving <br /> the date of this Resolution and the fact that it was submitted by <br /> the Common Council, together with a statement that any objections <br /> or remonstrances made in writing and filed with the City Recorder <br /> prior to the time of the hearing will be he~rd and considered, <br /> and the Recorder is further directed to cause to be posted at each <br /> end of the proposed alley vacation a copy of said notice which <br /> shall be headsd "Notice of Street Vacation". The notice shall be <br /> I published in five consecutively weekly issues of said newspaper, <br /> and the costs of the publication shall be defrayed by the City. <br /> At said hearing the Council shall hear all remonstrances and ob-. <br /> jections, and either pass an. ordinance vacating said alley or re- <br /> fuse to do so.. <br /> .' <br /> ) <br /> ~ ~ <br />
