The ordinance was declared passed and numbered 8487. <br /> <br />An Ordinance amending Ordinance No. 8469 entitled "An Ordinance providing a <br />system of Civil ~ervice for paid firefighters, in the city of Eugene", passed by <br />the Common Council April 13, 1936, and approved by the Mayor April 30, 1936, by <br />adding a section providing for a penalty, was read the first time and passed to its <br />25 second and third readings by title under suspension of the rule by unanimous consent <br />lof the council and placed upon its final passage. The ayes and nays were called, <br />councilmen voting aye, six; nay, none; absent bimon and Zumwalt.
