<br />1. Mr. S. M. Calkins, City Attorney, asked for an additional two weeks for
<br />consideration of President Boyer's request for amendment of the city ordinance to
<br />prohibit the operation of sound cars on or adjacent to the campus, except after
<br />three o'clock in the afternoon.
<br />
<br />The purchase of a mimeograph machine at a price of $205.00, half of which
<br />cost the Eugene Water Board is willing to share, was again brought up for discussio
<br />by councilman Hendershott, chairman of the Finance Committee. The Gity Recorder
<br />was asked to ascertain if there is sufficient money available in the various de-
<br />partments to warrant purchase of the machine.

<br />The $616.04 offer of A. L. Brown, 293 Monroe Street, for property described
<br />as lot 16, block 2, Sladden's Addition, with a down payment of $100.00 and $10.00
<br />per month with interest at 6% per annum on the unpaid balance, was accepted by the
<br />Finance Committee. Upon motion made and seconded, the recommendation was unanimous y
<br />approved.
