It was further stipulated that the one <br /> room subdivided and used as sleeping quarters was to be locked and not to be oc- <br /> cupied in the meantime. Mayor Large asked if there were any remonstrances or ob- <br /> jections to be made at this time; there being no Objections, the demolition proceed- <br /> /20 ings are to be instituted at the proper time and it was so ordered. <br /> Councilman Bond, Chairrr.an of the Police Committee, recommended the in- <br /> stallation of stop signs at all four corners at 19th and University and it was so <br />~ ;21 approved. <br /> Police Chairman Bond served formal notice that all punchboards in <br />I operation in the city must be removed and out of circulation within a week from <br /> (22 date and it was so ordered by the council. <br /> It was further declared by the Police Committee that all tobacco vending <br /> machines were to be considered as any other dispenser of cigarettes and if it were <br /> found that vending machines were being operated by minors, the place of business <br /> would be subjected to a penalty. All living organizations on the campus, operating <br /> commissaries, were asked to secure licenses if they had tobacco in any form for sale <br /> f23 and it was so ordered. <br /> Mayor Large questioned the continued use of the building occupied by the <br /> Pacific Truck Express across from the Frances Willard grade School. She asks <br /> (25 that some consideration be shown for her doctor's expenses and loss of time. <br /> Request of W. B. Wing asking for a permit to erect a two stall garage on <br /> the west end of his premises-at 63& Olive Street, said structure to be constructed <br /> of one-hour fire resistive materials only. The board recommends that this permit <br /> be granted with a limit of one year. Upon motion made and seconded, the council <br /> 26 adopted the recommendation of the Board of Appeals and it was so ordered. <br />I / <br /> Req~est'of George C.
