Upon motion made and seconded, X~B XBEEIDmERMaXXEE WHX B~~XEXRMX and duly carried, <br />~ the recommendation of the Street Committee was approved. <br /> <br />Councilman Carlson further rep~ ted that it was the recommendation of <br />his committee that the request of Mr. Lewis Barr be denIed by reason of the fact <br />that the State Highway Department was contemplating the use of the land in question <br />for a new state highway. Upon motion made and seconded, the recommendation was' <br />14. approved. <br />I <br /> <br />Councilman Koppe, Chai~illan of the Health Committee, stated that a complain <br />had been recBived concerhing the condition of the city dump grounds and that the <br />Comrni ttee upon investigating the same, found grounds'being' kept in as good a <br />condition as could oe expected. Further discussion was had concerning this matter <br />and Mr. Koppe was requested by the Mayor' to contact the State Inspector whose office <br />14~ is in the Public Market Building, concerning the methods of better sanitation. <br />/' <br />Mayor Large requested the Health Committee to investigate and rep~t <br />at the next meeting of the council the conditions surrounding the trailer houses <br />located in'the alley bounded by Lincoln and Charnelton, and Seventh and Eighth <br />Streets ahd also the trailer h~use located just west of the Elk's Parking Lot. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />15. <br />/' <br /> <br />Councilman Page, Chairman of the Printing' and Parks Committee, requested <br />the appropriation of $.75.00 from the emergency fund to be expended for the construc- <br />tion of walks just outside the parks leading to.the streets. .
