The meeting was called to order by Mayor Large. P. Sharp offers $125.00 cash for the house at 974 Taylor Street <br />1 1 and will move it outside the city limits within 30 days. <br />Offer rejected. <br />i <br />i Mrs. I. M. Weber submitted an offer of $160.00 cash for the house at <br />2 ~ 974 Taylor Street and will ~ore it within 30 days, outside the city <br />: limits if offer is accepted. <br />, Offer rejected. <br /> <br />I,; F. This was held from the Council meeting 12-13-43 <br />5 1 for the Engineer to see if he could reach the Sewer. <br />~ Offer Accepted: with understanding no sewer right-bf-way be given. <br />I: <br />11 Thomas A. Grant submitted an offer 12-13-43" for $1300.00 for parts <br />~ of lots 5 and 6, block 10, Scotts Addition, was acceRted. <br />i: Fred Carlson, former owner wishes to redeem this for wl007. 97 this <br />I'.' includes interest to 12-31-43. Will pay $207.97 cash and the balance <br />: at $25.00 per month plus interest at 6%. <br />6 I: " It was the recommendation of the Finance Commi ttee that <br />~ Mr. Carlson be allowed to redeem this property, at the price of <br />Ii $1007.97 as of December 31,1943, with the understanding that the <br />i first payments are to be applied on the accrued interest until the <br />I! accrued interest has been paid up. After which the payments of $25.00 <br />~ shall be applied on the unpaid balance of principal. <br /> <br />II On motion made, seconded and carried the recommendation of the Finance <br />,~! Commi ttee was adopted. <br />~: <br /> <br />f: Health Committee, no report. <br />i1 Parks and Sewer Comilli ttees, no report. <br />'! <br />Iii: Councilman Hawn reporting for the Police Department asked for another <br />! two weeks before making a report regarding the traffic hazard at 13th and <br />~ Charnelton. Councilman Hawn brought up the subject of licensing of bicycles <br />i for the year 1944. He stated that the licensing of bicycles had been adopted <br />7 f': for two reason, for regulation and for assisting the Police Department in <br />~ recovering stolen bicycles. He stated,that the licensing of bicycles was no <br />~ assistance to the Police ip recovering stolen bicycles and that it was the <br />I'i recomm~ndation that hte licensing for .1944 be discontinued. There was some <br />r little discussion regarding this and the matter was referred back for a <br />,~ decision to be made at the next Council meeting. ' <br />'I <br /> <br />!~ Councilman Hawn also stated that the Humane Society was being paid <br />I' 1..1 monthly in advance. He stated that. the Council has agreed to underwrite the <br />' 'I IIi Hwnane Siciety for the sum of $3,000.00 for the fiscal year 1943-1944 but that <br />i revenue obtained by the Humane Society; from other sources was to de ifileducted <br />8 r from the $3,000.00.
