C. Farrington, Louis Koppe~ E. A. Barette, Ira <br /> O. Stewart, Edward F. Bailey, A. ~. Hawn, and W. L. Davis. Councilman absent, <br /> Calvin Crumbaker. <br /> Councilman Farrington, the pres~dent of the Council"presided. <br /> The Council then proceeded first to canvass the votes cast in Westmoreland <br /> ! precinct and next proceeded to count the votes in the City of Eugene both as td I <br /> i <br /> I Westmoreland precinct and as to the annexation of the Old City Airpor~. <br /> I <br /> I <br /> The canvass of the tally sheets showed the following results, to-wit: <br /> . Votes cast in the Wes~morelagdhDistrict, Yes l3J:, No, 117 Majority for 14. <br /> Votes cast in the City of Eugene: Yes No Yes No <br /> ,- - - - <br /> First Ward, Roosevelt School, for Westmoreland Territory 71 6 <br /> n " " " , for Old City Airport 70 5 <br /> i I <br /> Second Ward, Washington School, for Westmoreland Territory 32 4 <br /> " " " " , for Old City Airport ' 31 2 <br /> I <br /> " Third Ward, Vocational School, for Westmoreland Territory 28 6 <br /> " " " " for Old City Airport 28 6 <br /> , <br /> Fourth Ward <br /> at Frances Willard School, for Westmoreland Territory 46 17 <br /> " " " for Old City Airport ~1L- <br /> , - - <br /> 177 33 174 29 <br /> Majority in the City 144 14p <br /> Thereupon a motion was made by Councilman Hawn and seconded by Councilman <br /> Koppe that the Westmoreland Territory and the Old City Airport be declared <br /> i annexed and that the City Attorney be instructed to prepare the proper resolu- <br /> tion and that the results be transmitted to the Secretary of State.
