REPORTS OF BOARDS ~~ D01~rrSSIONS 14 The following reports from the Board of Appeals were submitted and read 'as follows:' j "A meeting of the Board of Appeals yvas held in the office of the City EngiBeer Wednesday, ~~rch 20, 1946 at 5:00 P.M. . Keith Fennell appeared before the Board, presenting a letter as~ing for a waiver of set-back for a commercial building on Lot 1, Block 3, Kincaid Addition, being located on the south side of rhirteenth Av~nue between Alder and Kincaid Streets. 1rr. Fennell was accompanied by Mr. Evans, Attorney and others. ,.-. 'I . 15 Graham B. Smith, representing the Sigma Chi Fraternity, Herschel Taylor and Mr. Claypool appeared to protest the request. < . The Board, after listening to all arguments, unanimously agreed to recommend to the Council that the ~equest be qenied, and Mr. Fennell be required to observe the seven foot set-back." Humphreys for a permit to construct afr all metal building 2~ feet by 80 feet in dimensions set upon a concrete slab. This structure to b.e placed on the lot on the North side of Twelfth Avenue, East of the alley bet~een Oak and Pearl Streets. The structure to be used for an automobile repair ~nd paint shop. The Board recom- mends' that the request be denied. I? I i \ < A request was received from George ~. Nelson asking to be allowed to convert the second story of his home at 1800 Cplumbia Street into an apartment for a G.I. by adding 2 dormers and put in an outside stairway at the rear of' th~ house. I 19, I , , "As' a permanent report pursuant to Resol ut ion of the Common Counc il of the City of Eugene directing the City Planning Commission to prepare a report upon the reclassification of certain areas in .the City, the City Planning Com- mission hereby adopts as its permanent report, the following: I. W. M. Wohlander: That Lot 1, Block'18, College Hill Park Addition at 21st and Jefferson be reclassified from single family to multiple family resi- dential be denied. I II. Dudley C. Walton and James G. Richmond: That the property starting at the intersection of the West side of Alder Street and the North side of Twenty- Fifth thence North along Alder ninety-seven feet, thence West one hundred feet paraliel to Twenty-Fifth, thence South ninety-seven feet parallel to Alder Street, ~,
