IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT INASMUCH I <br /> AS THESE LOTS ARE EACH 81 BY I 10 FEET, CONSTITUTING 8,910 SQUARE FEET EACH, AND ARE <br /> BORDERED ON THE EAST BY PE A R L S T R E E T, ON THE SOUTH BY A 20 FOOT ALLEY AND CENTRAL <br /> BUSINESS DISTRICT AND ON THE NORTH BY A 20 FOOT ALLEY, THAT A VARIANCE BE GRANTED TO I <br /> CONSTRUCT DUPLEXES ON EACH OF THE TWO LOTS, OR THA T THE TWO LOTS BE DIVIDED INTO THREE I <br /> LOTS FOR SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCES CONSTITUTING THREE LOTS 54 BY 110 FEET, CONSTITUTING <br /> 5,940 SQUARE FEET EACH. THOMPSON AND MADE AN OFFER , <br /> I <br /> OF $3,848 FOR THE 2-1/2 ACRES SOUTH OF THE WHISTLER PROPERTY IN THE AMAZON PARK DEVEL- I <br /> OPMENT AREA AND HAD ALSO HAD A MEETING WITH MR. THOMPSON ON AUGUST 10TH WHEREIN NO I <br /> I <br /> PROGRESS WHATSOEVER HAD BEEN MADE WITH RELATION TO THE PURCHASE OF THIS PROPERTY FOR I <br /> I FUTURE PARK AND STREET DEVELOPMENT. THE COMMITTEE RECOMMENDED THAT THE CITY MANAGER <br /> ENGAGE TWO APPRAISERS TO APPRAISE THIS PROPERTY FOR THE CITY OF EUGENE. <br /> 3. THE COMMITTEE REVIEWED THE REQUEST OF THE PLUMBING CONTRACTORS AND PLUMBING UNION <br /> RELATIVE TO THE OPERATION OF ROTO-ROOTERS IN THE CITY OF EUGENE. IT WAS THE OPINION <br /> THAT THERE I S A DEFINITE PLACE AND NEED FOR THESE ROTO-ROOTERS AND THAT THERE IS AN <br /> ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THEM FROM DOING ANY PLUMBING WORK OR INFRINGEMENTS ON PLUMBING <br /> CODES. IT WAS RECOMMENDED THAT THE CITY ENFORCE PENALTIES IN CONNECTION WITH ANY <br /> INFRINGEMENTS OF ROTO-ROOTER OPERATORS DOING ANY PLUMBING WORK UNAUTHORIZED BY THEIR <br /> ROTO-ROOTER LICENSE. <br /> 4. THE PROPOSED LEASE BETWEEN THE CI TY OF EUGENE AND THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON ON THE <br /> SKINNER'S BUTTE HOUSING PROJECT WAS AGAIN REVIEWED AND RECOMMENDED FOR APPROVAL AS <br /> FOLLOWS: (LEASE). 11 <br /> I TWAS MOVED BY CRUMBAKER, SECONDED BY BOOTH THA T THE REPORT OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AND <br /> FINANCE COMMITTEES BE ADOPTED.
