MARY'S CATHOLIC CHURCH. <br /> THE MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 13, 1961, AS MAILED TO MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL, <br /> WERE APPROVED. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br />e I PROCLAMATION - CANVASS OF VOTES IN SPECIAL ELECTION HELD NOVEMBER 21, -'961 SUBMITTING TO VOTERS <br /> CHARTER AMENDMENT AUTHORIZING WATER SYSTEM I.MPROVEMENTS BY ISSUANCE AND SALE OF BONDS IN THE AMOUNT <br /> OF $1,850,000 TO BE REPAID FROM REVENUES OF EUGENE WATER AND ELECTRIC BOARD WAS SUBMITTED AND READ <br /> IN FULL SHOWING 2779 VOTES CAST IN FAVOR OF THE AMENDMENT, AND 175 VOTES CAST OPPOSING THE AMENDMENT. <br /> IT WAS MOVED BY MRS. LAURIS SECONDED BY MR. MOLHOLM THAT THE PROCLAMATION BE APPROVED. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> - <br />I 2 THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ANNOUNCED THAT EUGENE WATER & ELECTRIC BOARD WOULD AWARD BIDS ON <br /> NOVEMBER 29, 1961 SELLING SURPLUS PROPERTY OF THE BOARD ON 30TH AVENUE NEAR THE LAURELWOOD GOLF COURSE. <br /> 3 THE COUNCIL WAS ASKED FOR AUTHORITY TO EXECUTE A DEED CONVEYING TO LANE COUNTY CERTAIN EUGENE <br /> WATER & ELECTRIC BOARD PROPERTY LYING ALONG THEIR RENNIE LOTS ON THE McKENZIE RIVER TO ALLOW BETTER <br /> ROAD ALIGNMENT. <br />~ IT WAS MOVED BY MRS. LAURIS SECONDED BY MR. MOLHOLM THAT THE PROPER CITY OFFICIALS BE AUTHORIZED TO <br />0":. EXECUTE SUCH DEED. ROLLCALL VOTE. MOTION CARRIED, ALL COUNCILMEN 'PRESENT VOTING AYE. <br />C'J <br />~ 4 THE COUNCIL WAS REQUESTED TO GIVE THEIR APPROVAL TO LANE COUNTY APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br />CC <br />IX FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON LOWER AMAZON AND FLAT CREEK WATERSHEDS. <br /> 1T WAS MOVED BY MRS. LAURIS SECONDED BY MR. WILSON THAT SUCH APPROVAL BE GIVEN AND THAT THE MAYOR BE <br /> AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS. MOTION CARRIED. <br /> 5 AN APPLICATION FROM P. H. ZACHARY FOR SEGREGATION OF ASSESSMENT FOR SEWER WEST OF DILLARD ROAD <br /> AND SOUTH BOUNDARY HILYARD STREET ADDITION WAS PRESENTED. THIS SEGREGATION WOULD ALLOW A SUBDIVISION <br /> TO BE KNOWN AS DILLARD PARK WITH THE ASSESSMENT PRORATED TO THE SEVERAL PARCELS AND WAS RECOMMENDED <br /> FOR APPROVAL BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS. <br /> IT WAS MOVED BY MRS. LAURIS SECONDED BY MR. MOLHOLM THAT THE REQUESTED SEGREGATION BE ALLOWED.
