Maps, were presented show- <br />ing three po~~ibi~ities for ann~xation of the various, pieces of: property <br />in the general ?r~a. In the discussion wpich followed, it was pointed <br />out that co~siderable ~ime. would elapse, bef~re ~tilities would be avail- <br />ab~e in th~ area and that ~mpr9vement of: the: roads generally would not <br />be co~sidered be~ause the prop9sed'boupdary lines do~not:encompass both <br />:sides of som~ C?t the ~oads. Dr. Purdy moved secondeq by J1r. Hawk to <br />~eny: the annexatiop. petit ions and ask the: Pla1;ming Commission'to consider <br />the matter further and make a definite recommendation to the, Council for <br />the annexation of smaller parcels in the general areq. Rezoning,toC-3P area 'at Coburg and Willakenzie (Olson)(65-006) - The Cquncil <br />on January: 25, 1~65'approved a variance,to permit an ice cream store on this <br />property after consideration 'of a.Planning.Comffiiss~on recommendation to deny <br />requested rezoning to C-3P.: The matter was referred: too a joint Planning Com- <br />missiop./ Council meeting,at w~ich time the Planning Co~is~i6n again recom- <br />mended denial <?f the rez<?ning and also d~nia~.-of a, variance. Curb Sidewalk, 40th 'and Donald, Unitarian:Church :.. The UnitarianChurch re- <br />quested permission to install curb sidewalks on 39th and 40th Avenues near <br />Donald Street. The Public Works Department ~eported that a curb sidewalk <br />has already been established for the 39th Avenue side of th~ir property 'but <br />recommended denial of' the request for a cu'rb sidewalk em the 40th Avenue <br />side~ Mr. Hawk moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to deny the ,request ,for <br />a curb sidewalk on the 40th Avenue side of the Unitarian Church property <br />near Donald Street.
