<br /> ~ <br /> 4()9 <br /> e <br /> 10/11/65 <br /> I Council Chamber <br /> Eugene, Oregon <br /> October 11, 1965 <br /> The regular meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon was called to order <br /> at 6:30 p.m. PDT on October 11, 1965 by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the following councilmen <br /> present: Mrs. Lauris, Messrs. Crakes, Hawk, Purdy, McNutt, Anderson, and Lassen. Mr. Chatt was <br /> absent. <br /> Minutes of the adjourned meeting held September 27, 1965 and of the special meeting held on <br /> September 30, 1965, as mailed to members of the Council, were approved. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1 Mr. Donald Pollard, deputy city manager of Fresno, California, was introduced by the City <br /> Manager. Mr. Pollard will conduct the tour of the Planning Commission and Council members on their <br /> e visit to Sacramento and Fresno. <br /> 2 The City Manager announced a meeting of the Metropolitan Civic Club at the Thunderbird Motel <br /> on Wednesday, October 13,' 1965, at 7:30 p.m. The topic of discussion will be a report on develop- <br /> ment of North Bank Park. <br /> 3 The City Manager also announced the League of Oregpn Cities meeting to be held in Salem on <br /> I November 14-16, 1965 and asked Council members to consider making reservations for the meeting. <br /> 4 Mayor Cone recognized members of the League of Women Voters present at the meeting and com- <br /> mended them for their efforts on behalf of the community. <br /> 5 Bills against various City departments for the month of September 1965 were submitted and read <br /> (itemized list starts on page 417 ). <br /> Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Mr. Hawk that the bills as presented and read be allowed and proper <br /> City officials authorized to draw the necessary warrants. Rollcall vote.
