<br />The Public Works Department recommended holding award of contract on Rocky Lane '45 days" pending
<br />acquisition of right-of-way, and to award contracts to low bidders on each of the other projects bid
<br />March 15, 1~67. Council members were informed the owners requesting improvements in Cummins Park
<br />and Brunner Park approved the low bids submitted.

<br />With regard to sewer installation in WS-67-l, the Public Works Department recommended award of con-
<br />tract to the low bidder on the basic bid; except Roan Drive on which the alternate (installation in
<br />the street) was recommended. JaroldKieffer, 5'54 Pinto Way, and L. W. Campbell, 3063 Dapple Way,
<br />commented about saving the 'trees .on some .of the sereets. Discussion followed in .this regard, and it
<br />was explained that installation of the line in th~ street in the entire area to avoid removing trees
<br />would cost ~bout $43~000 more than the basic low bid~
<br />
<br />Mrs. Lauris moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to approve the Public Works Department. recommendation, except
<br />Rocky Lane, subject to polling property owners in the WS-67-l area with regard to their preference
<br />for sewer installation in the street to avoid r'emoving trees or behind the c'urb. Rollcall vote. All
<br />councilmen present voting aye, motion 'carried;'

<br />Dr. Purdy moved seconded by Mr. Anderson to approve acceptance of the low bid on Rocky Lane paving,
<br />but to delay award of the contrac~ 45 days. Ronald' Allen 1985 Gilham Road, owner of property needed
<br />for right-of-way, was present, and there was some discussion about negotiations in progress on
<br />acquisition of necessary right-of-way from him to permit the Rocky Lane paving; A rollcall vote was
<br />taken on the motion. All co~ncilmen pr~se:pt voting aye, except Mrs. Lauris voting no, motion carried.
