<br />Adjourned meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon ~ adjourned from the regular
<br />meeting held April 10, 1967 - was called to order by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone at 7:30 p.m. on
<br />April 24, 1967 in the Council Chamber with the following councilmen present: Dr. Purdy, Mrs. Lauris,
<br />Messrs. McNutt, Anderson, Lassen, Mrs. Hayward, Messrs. McDonald and Wingard.

<br />Minutes of the meeting held April 10, 1967, as mailed to members of the Council, were approved.

<br />Helicopter Control - Councilman Lassen asked "the ~taff to bring to the Council for considera-
<br />tion regulations or a model ordinance governing use of helicopters inside cities.

<br />Height Limitation~ Skinnerj~ Butte Area - Councilman Purdy inquired regarding status of
<br />control of height and limitations on high-rise buildings in the Skinner's Butte area.
<br />He was informed this regulation is to be included in the new zoning ordinance, but the
<br />matter will be reviewed to consider some temporary control until the new zoning ordinance
<br />is enacted. . . ..-

<br />Mayor Cone recognized the presence of Mr. Halvorson's University of Oregon journalism
<br />class of about 25.

<br />International Co-operation Awards - Philip George, chairman of the Mayor's International
<br />Co-operation Committee, explained the purpose of the committee and the awards presented
<br />by the Mayor. The following people were honored for their activities in the promotion
