<br /> Regular meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon was called to order at 7;30 p.m.
<br /> PDT on October 9, 1967 in the Council Chamber by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone with the following
<br /> councilmen present; Mrs. Lauris, Messrs. McNutt, Anderson, and Lassen, and Mrs. Hayward. Absent
<br /> were Councilmen Purdy, McDonald, and Wingard.
<br /> NEW BUSINESS
<br /> 1 7th and Willamette Parking - Options were presented signed by Charles S. and Eleanor Pratt
<br /> ($40,000) and Eva Mae Pratt ($35,000) for acquisition of their building in connection with
<br /> the 7th and Willamette off-street parking facility. Also presented was an agreement signed
<br /> by George J. McKenzie to sell his lease to the City for $1000 under which the Cosmo Tavern
<br /> in the building being acquired has been operated. The City Attorney recommended the options
<br />e be exercised and the lease purchased.
<br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mrs. Lauris to approve the recommendation. Rollcall vote. All council-
<br /> men present voting aye, motion carried.

<br /> basic bid on the Floral Hill sewer. The Public Works Director said that Mrs. Cramer, 2470 Alder
<br /> Street, wished the record to show her objection to the sewer construction proposed between 24th and
<br /> 25th from Hilyard to Alder.
