<br /> Adjourned meeting of the Common Council of the city of Eugene, Oregon - adjourned from the meeting
<br /> held August 12, 1968 - was ca lIed to order by His Honor Mayor Edwin E. Cone at 7:30 p.m. on Augus t 26,
<br /> 1968 in the Council Chamber with the following councilmen present: Mr. Anderson, Mrs. Lauris,
<br /> Messrs. Lassen, McDonald, Wingard, and Teague. Councilmen Purdy and Hayward were absent.
<br /> Minutes of the meeting held August 12, 1968, as mailed to Council members, were approved.
<br /> 1 Sign Ordinance - Hal Cross read a statement on behalf of the sign industry asking the
<br /> Council for further consideration of amendments which would allow more height, projection,
<br /> and sign area than allowed in the regulations being prepared for adoption. No action
<br /> was taken.

<br /> . Councilman McDonald reported that two of the buildings on West 27th have been removed, and it was
<br /> understood the contracts would be withheld if the buildings were removed by the owner.
<br /> Mr. Anderson moved seconded by Mr. Lassen to award contracts as recommended. Rollcall vote. All
<br /> councilmen present voting aye, motion carried.
