<br />1. Appointments - Mayor Anderson announced the following appointments and reappointments:

<br />Planning Commission - Morven C. Thomas and John E. Stafford~ reappointed for terms
<br />ending January 1, 1973
<br />
<br />Garbage Board - Wallace Swamson and Ervin Mo1ho1m, reappointed, and Bruce Lassen,
<br />appointed to replace Dan Christensen, resigned.
<br />
<br />The Mayor also recommended reappointment of Winfield Atkinson and Mrs. J. C. Keever
<br />as members of the Library Board for terms ending January 1, 197-3. Mr. Anderson s'a'id
<br />the International Co-operation Committee would continue functioning with a mee~ing
<br />of new members scheduled for January 13~ 1969.

<br />2. Policy, Use of Remodeled Residences for Professional Offices - Councilman Wingard
<br />asked for review of the City's policy with regard to allowing use of remodeled homes
<br />for professional offices. .The Superintendent of Building Inspection explained criteria
<br />in the various fire zones which control physical changes permitted in residential
<br />buildings, but said that the courts have ruled adversely with regard to change in
<br />occupancy.

<br />Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Dr. Purdy to receive and file. Motion carried.

<br />3. Commendation, Eugene Register-Guard - Councilwoman Hayward called attention to the
<br />special section on the City in the Register-Guard issue of January 5, 1969. She
<br />expressed appreciation for the Guard's review of the City's work for the past ten
<br />years.

<br />4. Boards and Commissions - Councilwoman Bea1 asked for a list of members of the City's
<br />various boards and commissions and was told copies will be furnished members of the
<br />Council.
