The meeting <br />: was called tq order by His Honor .L~s ter Anderson at 11 :45 a .m. on July 17, 1969 in the Council Chamber <br />il with the following councilmen present: Mrs. Hayward, Messrs. McDonald and Wingard, Mrs.. Beal, and <br />!i Mr. Mohr. Absent were Councilmen Purdy, Teague, and Gribskov. <br />Ii <br />I . <br />11 Proclamation' - Canvassing votes in election held July 15, 1969 with regard to levying <br />11 tax outside 6% limitation in the amount of $931,454.00 was submitted and read" showing <br />, . . <br />11 the measure was approves! 4,824 voting yes" 4~024 voting no. <br /> <br />" <br />I Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McD nald that the Proclamation be. approved as read. Rollcall vote. I <br />i All councilmen present voting aye, motion carried. <br /> <br />II ORDINANCES e <br /> <br />!I Council Bill. No. 8936 - Adopt.ing 1969-70 budget, levying tax fOF $5,178,896.00 and amending <br />I' Ordinance ili5746 was submitted and read in full. <br />1/ <br />!i Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the bill be read the s~cond time by council bill . ~~ <br />i1. number only, with u.nanimous consent of the Courlcil. Motion carried unanimous~y and the bill was I <br />Ii read the second ti1lle by council bi.ll number only. <br /> <br />Ii Mrl? Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the rules be suspended and ,the bill read'the third ' ~ <br />:: time by council bill number only, with unan{~ous consent of the Council. Motion.carried unanimously <br />;1 and the bill was read the third time by council bill number only. <br /> <br />II Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. McDonald that the bill be approved and given final passage. <br />I, Rollcall vote. All councilmen present voting aye, the bill was declared pas.sed and numbered 15756. <br />I, <br />i: <br /> <br />il Employe Relations Fact Finding.Committee - Council members'disc~ssed a memorandum <br />Ii previously distr~buted by Mayor Anderson outlining duties of the Employe Relations > <br />il Fact Finding Committee and requesting suggestions from the Council regarding t~e <br />I committee. It was suggested the words "their representatives" be inserted in Line 3 <br />:' of Paragraph 3 of the memo so as to read "...the Committee would be expected to solicit <br />ill the views,.. .of the employes, their representatives, and the administrative staff...." <br />'. <br /> <br />I! Mrs. Hayward moved seconded by Mr. . Mohr to adopt the guidelines, including the suggested change, for <br /> <br />I: the Employe Relations Fact Finding Committee as set forth in the Mayor's memorandum.
