.....
e 318
9/2/70
1:
I II
1: In answer to Mr. Mohr, the City Manager said installation and maintenance of the barricades is
i to be by the University.
Mr. Duncan was concerned with Section 2, Rights of Way, and it was decided proper wording
was "and/or."
Under the "basis of agreement', it was emphasized that the resolution provided these streets
might be closed. Access mus:t be maintained for emergency vehicles in all uacated streets.
Dr. Purdy requested that a statement be included that the University could also institute
a request for vacation of other streets in the University area. Mayor ruled this could be
included.
Dr. Purdy was also concerned that the city should provide for a land bank or reserve account.
After further discussion it was decided to eliminate dollar value and insert a paragrpph
e pertaining to exchange of land and formation of a land bank based upon appraised value of land
exchanged.
Suggested wording is now, "the basis of exchange of square footage of s.aid land would be on
appraised prices of land received by the Beard through city vacation, balanced by appraised
values of land provided by the Board. Land bank procedure could be effected, with a provision
if the land involved buildings, value of building would enter into the calculation."
I .- . .;. - .- .:-'" ." - ~ ..
