<br />The Airport Manager requested that this bid be denied, since it was considerably over the
<br />original estimate and there was only one bidder on the project.
<br />
<br />Mr. Teague moved seconded by Mr. Mohr that Items 1 through 4 be awarded to' low bidder on each
<br />project, Item 5 be held and Item 6 be denied.
<br />
<br />Mr. Mohr questioned the amount of $4,000 which had been budgeted for a car rental building.
<br />It was explained that the car rental lease rates had been increased and a comL~tment for
<br />improvement of facilities was made at that time, based on the increased rates.
<br />
<br />in answer to Mrs. Beal's question regarding the reduction of cost of Project No.4, Mr. Gilmore
<br />explained trat it was found that this sewer could connect to the existing state highway system.
<br />This reduced the cost of the project from the anticipated amount.
<br />
<br />Vote taken on motion, Rollcall. All councilmen present voting aye, the motion carried.
