REPORT FROM HISTORIC REVIEW BOARD (background information <br /> distributed) <br /> City Manager Micheal Gleason introduced Carole Daly, chairperson of the <br /> Historic Review Board (HRB). Ms. Daly discussed the reorganized of the <br /> HRB that took place about a year ago. She said the HRB is now a hearing <br /> body. <br /> Reviewing accomplishments, she sa i d the Kenne 11 Ellis Building was <br /> designated a City Historic Landmark. She said the HRB undertook a public <br /> awareness program with the result that board members participated in the <br /> tour of the East Skinner Butte area on Mother1s day and organized a <br /> historical tour by bicycle during the Eugene Celebration. Discussing the <br /> HRB1s work program, she said the board applied for a grant from the State <br /> Historic Preservation Office to survey the West University neighborhood <br /> and to complete Phase 2 of the College Hill/South University and Fairmount <br /> survey. Only part of the application was approved and the board decided to <br /> survey the West University neighborhood.
