ORDINANCE CONCERNING THE BICYCLE COMMITTEE <br /> City Manager Micheal Gleason said the council subcommittee that reviewed the <br /> advisory groups recommended that three-year terms be established for members <br /> of the Bicycle Committee. <br /> C.B. 2901--An ordinance concerning the Bicycle Committee <br /> amending Section 2.013 of the Eugene Code, 1971. <br /> Mr. Hansen moved, seconded by Ms. Ehrman, that the bill <br /> be read the second time by council bill number only, <br /> with unanimous consent of the council, and that enactment <br /> be considered at this time. Roll call vote; the motion <br /> carried unanimously, 6:0. <br /> Council Bill 2901 was read the second time by council bill number only. <br /> Mr. Hansen moved, seconded by Ms. Ehrman, that the bill <br /> be approved and given final passage. Roll call vote; all <br /> councilors present voting aye, the bill was declared <br />e passed (and became Ordinance No. 19404). <br /> IV, ORDINANCE CONCERNING CITY BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES <br /> City Manager Micheal Gleason introduced the item. Cathy Freedman gave the <br /> staff report. She said terms of office for a few of the City's advisory groups <br /> do not end on December 31, The proposed ordinance would change those terms so <br /> that they terminate on December 31 and coincide with other advisory groups. <br /> C.B. 2902--An ordinance concerning City boards, commissions, <br /> and committees; amending Section 2.013 of the Eugene <br /> Code, 1971; and declaring an emergency, <br /> Mr. Hansen moved, seconded by Ms. Ehrman, that the bill be <br /> read the second time by council bill number only, with <br /> unanimous consent of the council, and that enactment be <br /> considered at this time, <br /> Answering a question from Mr. Hansen, Ms, Freedman said the proposed ordinance <br /> provides for an incumbent member of a board, committee, or commission to <br /> continue to serve if another person has not been appointed by December 31.
