Obie. <br /> 1. ITEMS FROM CITY COUNCIL, MAYOR, AND CITY MANAGER <br /> A. Resignation of Elaine Stewart <br /> Ms. Wooten thanked Elaine Stewart for her work in the Development Department. <br /> Ms. Wooten said she regrets Ms. Stewart's departure from Eugene. <br /> B. Improvement of Willakenzie Road <br />e Referring to the improvement of Willakenzie Road from Coburg Road to the <br /> Will akenzi e School whi ch the council approved on July 13, 1987, Ms. Wooten <br /> asked about the information she requested concerning alternatives to the <br /> estimated assessment of the Willakenzie Grange. City Manager Micheal Gleason <br /> said a staff report will be issued soon. <br /> C. Council Committee on Economic Diversification <br /> Mr. Rutan said he has been working with the staff to prepare a strategic plan <br /> for economic development that will be considered by the Council Committee on <br /> Economic Diversification (CCED). He said the council will consider the plan <br /> in about two months. <br /> D. Airport Construction Briefings <br /> Mr. Rutan said he has been attending the weekly airport construction briefings <br /> and is pleased with the management and leadership the City staff is providing. <br /> He said the construction at the airport is going well. <br />e MINUTES--Eugene City Council <br /> September 9, 1987 Page 1 <br />
