Committee Reports <br /> <br />Mr. Holmer reported that the Historic Preservation Ordinance Task Team <br />had met for 22 months and had developed a draft ordinance 21 pages in <br />length, which he noted was longer than the original but was highly <br />specific. He said the item would come before the City Council in two to <br />three months, and he thought he would recommend voting for the ordinance. <br />He added, however, that in the future he thought it was unfair to appoint <br />two representatives of the Historic Review Board, two representatives of <br />the Planning Commission, and one City Councilor, a process that he said <br />had resulted in tension. <br /> <br />Mr. Holmer said he and Ms. Bascom would be working on reviewing the <br />purpose and mission of the Eugene Arts Foundation and would keep the <br />council informed over the next three to six months. <br /> <br />Ms. Ehrman said the Joint Social Services budget session was beginning <br />and had been typical, with increasing requests exceeding the available <br />funds.
