He presented Ms. Miller with a platter of assorted cheeses from <br /> Tim and Tilda's Restaurant in Springfield. Ms. Miller thanked Mr. Thomas. <br /> Mr. Thomas noted that an Oktoberfest would be held in Springfield on the afternoon <br /> of October 16, 1982. <br /> II. ROUTINE ITEMS FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL <br /> A. Consideration of City Council Minutes of the Regular Meeting of <br /> September 22, 1982, and Special Meeting of September 23, 1982 <br /> (minutes distributed) <br /> e Ms. Miller moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to approve the regular <br /> meeting minutes of September 22, 1982, and special meeting minutes <br /> of September 23, 1982. Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> B. Call for Public Hearings: Consideration of Abatements of Dangerous <br /> Buildings at 2444 University Street and 220 North Van Buren (memos <br /> distributed) <br /> Mr. Gleason said that the resolutions would call public hearings on the abatement <br /> of two dangerous buildings. Ms. Wooten asked if the building at 220 North Van <br /> Buren was one which had been discussed by the neighborhood association in that <br /> area. Council and Community Services Director Marge Beck said that the dangerous <br /> nature of the building at 220 North Van Buren had been discussed by the neighbor- <br /> hood group. <br /> Res. No. 3728--A resolution calling a public hearing for <br /> October 25, 1982, to consider the abatement of a <br /> dangerous building located at 2444 University <br /> Street. <br /> Ms. Miller moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to adopt the resolution. <br /> Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously. <br /> e <br /> MINUTES--Eugene City Council October 13, 1982 Page 2 <br />
