ROUTINE ITEM FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL: CALL FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER <br /> ABATEMENT OF BUILDING LOCATED AT 1862 KINCAID (memo distributed) <br /> Mr. Gleason introduced the agenda item. <br /> Res. No. 3801--A resolution calling a public hearing for <br /> October 10, 1983, to consider abatement of a <br /> building located at 1862 Kincaid. <br /> Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Lindberg, to adopt the resolution. <br /> Roll call vote; motion carried unanimously, 7:0. <br /> III. PUBLIC HEARING: SUPPLEMENTAL BUDGET #1 AND #2 (memos, details distributed) <br /> Mr. Gleason introduced the agenda item. Warren Wong, the Finance Director, <br /> presented the staff report. Mr. Wong said the Budget Committee had been <br /> presented with Supplemental Budgets #1 and #2 the previous evening. He said <br /> that both budgets had been unanimously approved. He said that Supplemental <br /> Budget #1 recognized the Eugene Development Department, transferring certain <br /> e functions between that department, Public Works, and the Planning Department. <br /> He said that the budgets also recognized certain council actions of the last <br /> quarter of the past fiscal year, two such actions being the parking program <br /> experiment in the University area and the increase in the transient room tax. <br /> The public hearing was opened. <br /> There being no testimony, the public hearing was closed. <br /> CB 2672--An ordinance adopting a supplemental budget; making <br /> appropriations for the City of Eugene for the fiscal <br /> year beginning July 1, 1983, and ending June 30, 1984; <br /> and declaring an emergency (#1). <br /> CS 2683--An ordinance adopting a supplemental budget; making <br /> appropriations for the City of Eugene for the fiscal <br /> year beginning July 1, 1983, and ending June 30, 1984; <br /> and declaring an emergency (#2), <br /> Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, that the bills be read <br /> the second time by council bill numbers only, with unanimous <br /> consent of the Council, and that enactment be considered at this <br /> time.
