Finance Director <br /> Warren Wong presented the staff report, stating that the two resolutions were <br /> the first step to close out last year's financial records. He said the Appro- <br /> priation Act passed for FY84 had included a Reserve for Encumbrances to carry <br /> forward outstanding purchase orders on June 30, 1983, into the present fiscal <br /> year. He said the purchase orders were for goods and services ordered last year <br /> but not received until this year. <br /> Res. No. 3809--A resolution authorizing the transfer of funds from <br /> the reserve for encumbrances to departments. <br /> Res. No. 3810--A resolution authorizing the transfer of the balance <br /> of the reserve for encumbrances to reserves, contin- <br /> gency, and balance available. <br /> Ms. Schue moved, seconded by Mr. Obie, to adopt the resolutions. <br /> Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 8:0. <br />e <br /> MINUTES--Eugene City Council November 9, 1983 Page 2 <br />
