<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />M I NUT E S <br /> <br />Eugene City Council <br />City Council Chamber <br /> <br />February 22, 1984 <br />11:55 a.m. <br /> <br />COUNCILORS PRESENT: Brian Obie, Cynthia Wooten, John Ball, Dick Hansen, Freeman <br />Holmer, Emily Schue, and Betty Smith. <br /> <br />Adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Eugene, Oregon, was called <br />to order by His Honor Mayor Gus Keller. <br /> <br />I. ITEMS FROM MAYOR AND COUNCIL, APPOINTMENTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS, AND AGENDA <br />ADJUSTMENTS <br /> <br />A. Salute to Maurie Jacobs <br /> <br />Councilor Obie announced that' the Performing Arts Commission has voted to name a <br />Hult Center room after Maurie Jacobs. He stated that the room will be dedicated <br />on April 9, 1984. He asked that the council meeting scheduled for that evening <br />be rescheduled to allow the councilors the opportunity to attend the dedication <br />ceremonies. <br /> <br />B. Community School Luncheon <br /> <br />Councilor Wooten stated that the Community School Coordinating Council will be <br />hosting a luncheon at Monroe Middle School on February 24, 1984. She encouraged <br />the other councilors to attend the luncheon to observe the work of the Community <br />School program and the impact of city budget money on the joint 4-J District <br />program. <br /> <br />C. Announcements <br /> <br />City Manager Micheal Gleason suggested that March 14, 1984, would be an appro- <br />priate date for the City Council to hold a dinner/work session to discuss <br />revenues. He asked the councilors to set this tentative meeting date. <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason stated that he has received the Executive Summary of the Hult Center <br />Management Report and would distribute copies of the summary to the councilors <br />at the end of the meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Gleason recommended that the City Council have a dinner/work session with <br />the Performing Arts Commission at 5:30 p.m. on February 27, 1984, in the Sousa <br />Room of the Conference Center.
