ROUTINE ITEMS FOR COUNCIL APPROVAL <br /> <br />A. City Council Dinner/Work Session minutes of May 14, 1984 (minutes <br />distributed) <br /> <br />Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to approve the City Council <br />minutes of May 14, 1984. Roll call vote; the motion carried <br />unanimously, 6:0. <br /> <br />Call for Public Hearing (memo distributed) <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Res. No. 3859--A resolution calling for a public hearing for <br />June 25, 1984, to consider abatement of a nuisance <br />and unsafe building at 1398 Willamette Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Smith, to adopt the resolution. <br />Roll call vote; the motion carried unanimously, 6:0. <br /> <br />City Manager Micheal Gleason requested that the City Council next consider Item <br />VII as listed on the council agenda, Ratification of Metropolitan Wastewater <br />Management Commission FY 1984-85 Budget, to ensure its completion before the <br />planned early departure of Mr. Obie and Ms. Smith. <br /> <br />III. RATIFICATION OF METROPOLITAN WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT COMMISSION FY 1984-85 <br />BUDGET (memo, background material distributed) <br /> <br />City Manager Micheal Gleason introduced the agenda item. Bill Guenzler of <br />Public Works presented the staff report, referring to the City Manager's memo- <br />randum of May 25, 1984, and the MWMC FY 1984-85 Budget document, approved as of <br />May 10, 1984, as distributed. He briefly reviewed the chronology and the main <br />features of the budget process as outlined in the memorandum. He also reviewed <br />the three main issues raised during the public discussion as described in the <br />memorandum. He outlined the action of Lane County with regard to the three <br />issues and the specific line items involved, also described in the memorandum. <br />Mr. Guenzler felt that the MWMC could well operate within the three budget <br />notes. He said council did not have to adopt those specific notes unless it <br />expected the three projects to be returned to the council.
