Rezoning to C-4 would permit Taco <br /> Time to expand its offices and continue to grow in the area. <br /> Mr. Obie said he wa s glad Mr. Fraedrick would continue to be in the <br /> commun ity . <br /> Mayor Keller closed the public hearing. <br /> Res. No. 3885--A resolution establishing areas for <br /> applrcation of the C-4 Commercial- <br /> Industrial District zoning. <br /> Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Wooten, to adopt the <br /> resolution. Roll call vote; the motion carried <br /> unanimously, 5:0. <br /> B. Amendments to Eugene Ambulance Regulations (memo, ordinance, <br /> background information distributed) <br /> City Manager Micheal Gleason introduced the item. Susan Smernoff presented <br /> the staff report. She sa i d the City's regulatory processes were being <br /> reviewed as part of the Six-Point Program. The land use regulations had been <br /> streamlined. The business license regulations and the bui 1 di ng permit <br /> process are being reviewed now. The business license regulations include <br /> regulations for ambulances. Revisions to the ambulance ordinance were being <br />e presented to the Council separately because they are complex. The revisions <br /> clarify the ambulance regulatory process. <br /> The Springfield City Council adopted the revisions to the Ambulance ordinance <br /> on November 5. Springfield and Eugene will both have representatives on the <br /> governing board. Both cities will review applications. <br /> Mayor Keller opened the public hearing. Because there were no requests to <br /> testify, the public hearing was closed. <br /> CB 2792--An ordinance concerning ambulance regulations; <br /> amending Sections 2.013, 3.005, 3.135, 3.145, 3.160, <br /> 3.165, and 3.990 of the Eugene Code, 1971; adding <br /> new Sections 3.127,3.129,3.131,3.133,3.137, <br /> 3.139, 3.141, and 3.143 to that code; repealing <br /> Sections 3.130, 3.140, 3.150, and 3.155 of that <br /> code; and declaring an emergency. <br /> Mr. Obie moved, seconded by Ms. Wooten, that the bill be <br /> read the second time by council bill number only, with <br /> unanimous consent of the council, and that enactment be <br /> considered at this time.
